CSAC I
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor I
This entry level certification is earned by examination. The examination tests whether or not the individual is able to counsel from a biblical worldview and do no harm to the people they counsel. This level of certification is a requirement for the ACADC Professional credential.
CSAC II
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor II
The CSAC II level counselor requirement is 2080 hours of verifiable field experience with 160 of these hours under the supervision and guidance of an experienced direct supervisor,
CDAAC
Certified Drug, Alcohol and Addictions Counselor
The CDAAC level counselor is a professional who is fully certified by the state having met all state and ACADC Institute requirements, including an oral interview, the CSAC I and II, 155 hours of classroom studies pertaining to counseling and/or ministry directed to people who are coming out of drug, alcohol and/or other addictions backgrounds. Learning conducted in school buildings, church buildings, or virtual classrooms are accepted to meet the 155 hour classroom requirement.
