CEU Seminar for Addiction Counselors>
Letter from the CEO

December 13, 2006

Dear Yokefellows,

I want to thank you for keeping the light of biblical truth
alive in a world that is becoming more aligned with
humanism, legalism, and the doctrines of men that
contradict the doctrines of God. In the midst of all we
are called to do and with the impact of increasing efforts
of law makers, regulators, and other influences to fashion
new rules that exclude the Christian counselor, we need to
remember that our battle is in the Spirit. We have often
seen that when the regulators would not listen to our
needs, and powerful people opposed us, that God intervened
and changed a law or regulations in our favor.

Now that we are gearing up for receiving our NOCA
Accreditation, as God’s people we need to go twice the
distance in meeting the new regulatory standards and
adapting to the upcoming required changes than secular
certification organizations. The reason for this is not
only because the Lord has called us to a standard of
excellence, but also because we will probably be under more
scrutiny from people who would rather not see a biblical
influence in the professional Chemical Dependency arena.

Therefore, I would like to spell out some changes that we
are now in the process of instituting in ACADC:

First, as of April 1, of next year, all new registering
students will be required to take the CDAAC Exam as an end
of course final exam. We will be using the RAS Exam
because it has passed the NCCA standards and is well
respected in the State of California and all around the
world. Anyone who graduates with a CDAAC certification
will be awarded a dual certification of both the CDAAC and
the RAS, which will open doors for employment and be
respected not only in Christian areas of influence but
secular as well.
Anyone who registers and begins taking classes between now
and April 1, 2007, will be grandfathered in to our present
CDAAC requirements which presently only require the CSAC I
Exam and not a final exam.

The CSAC I Exam is being changed in name to the CSAC I
Entrance Inventory. The purpose of the CSAC I is to
determine that entering students have a Christian
worldview. The new CSAC I Entrance Inventory will register
the student with ACADC as a member, and with the California
Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs fulfilling
regulatory requirements. Upon passing the CSAC I, the
student will receive the entrance level CSAC I
Certification under the authority of ACADC. The CSAC I and
our CSAC II (our advanced certification verifying at least
2080 hours of field experience and 160 hours of direct
supervision) are both certifications that can be used for
employment purposes, but are not to be considered the
professional level certification designed to meet the state
regulatory standards which only our CDAAC Certification can
meet.

We are also making available our Anger Management
Instructor Certification Program to any administrator who
purchases the DVD. If you presently are conducting at
least one class with 1 to 7 students we will pay you 25% of
the $325 Anger Management Instructor Certification tuition
fee. If you have a class that averages over 8 paying
students per month, we want to reward you with a free Anger
Management DVD that can be used for your certification
program and we will pay you 50% of the tuition fee for
every student you certify for Anger Management Instructor.

In the near future, we will be granting our administrators
who have over 8 students consistently enrolled other
programs with available DVD’s including our Degree Programs
which are now in production.

Every morning, our staff sits around our board room table
and prays for each of you. Please share your praise
reports with us.

In HIS Matchless Grace,

Rev. Mike Belzman, Ph. D.
