Changes are taking place fast in our profession. These changes are both cultural and governmental. It’s important to understand the changes in the laws and regulations pertaining directly to our field, but also the cultural changes that are influencing the fields of education, mental health, criminal justice, law and government, social services, and our role as counselors
Therefore, we are glad to announce two important classes addressing TAP 21, Section VIII, Subsection 3: Current trends in addiction and related fields important for counselors to know:
1) Understanding the new California Regulation pertaining to Counselor Certification, Certification renewal and maintenance, discipline, and other related certification issues. This training contains a workshop that includes an opportunity to make suggestions for regulatory changes that will be presented to ADP for consideration, and
2) Cultural change: Redefining our role as counselors. This class will examine the post-modern influences that are changing the whole landscape of our culture and the practical effects this has had in the field of Recovery and on the addiction counselor.
Both of these important classes fulfill specific aspects of TAP 21 Counselor Competency Guidelines.

Seating is limited. Receipt of your registration form no later than January 31st will save you a seat in the class. The seminar containing both classes will begin promptly at 9am and end at 4pm. 6 CEU’s will be awarded.

CONTINUING EDUCATION ENROLLMENT FORM
